Dbase open source projects

Project # 1

The project currently in development is a php shopping cart that uses the MySQL as the backend. The Administration side Dbase application developed in DbasePLUS to run reports and alter the data. The dbf tables will be left in a dbase level III format. The reason for this is to build a generic interfase that can interact with all of the old Dbase programs out there and allow them to become web applications overnight.

Phase I. Using an opensource php shopping cart that uses a MySQL database for a backend, design a complete administration package using visual dbase to alter, update, and other general administration functions.
Phase II. Update the Dbase Admin Application to Upload data on a Schduled basis
Phase III. Update the Dbase Admin Application to Upload data when locally changed
Phase IV. Update the Dbase Admin Application Check for altered data locally and remotely. Once the transactions have been audited, the Dbase admin will either update remote data or update from the remote data

Project # 2

Project #2 is a dbase shopping cart that uses the same MySQL as project #1.

Phase I. Import the same html templates the php shopping cart uses the make them look the same.
Phase II. Build the same functionality as the php cart.

Project # 3

Project #3 is a stand alone dbase shopping cart that uses dbf databases. Teh cart will not communicate with a MySQL server and willbe completely self contained. The goal is to have a stable, fast, well designed proprietary cart that can handle thousands of instances a day.
